Had a fun derealization flare-up not long after I got to work bc something abt the brand of shirt in my hand and the smell in the air and whatever I was hearing just sent me into a bit of a state for a solid minute or two. No idea why, for some reason the very innocuous things around me (no matter how irrelevant they are) sent me straight back to college so vividly my brain 404'ed for a bit and it was. A little scary as it always is but I can at least always remember it’ll pass. I wish it didn’t leave me with some residual anxiety for the rest of my shift but. Sometimes I don’t mind that jolt of terror. Makes me feel even more real after the fact lol

normalize saying "it was a phase, mom". in a way that doesn't take away that it was real.
this should go without saying but this is also especially true if you identified as ace and then suddenly you're head over heels in sexy romantic love. or if you were bi and then are suddenly feeling hetero feelings only. there's nothing shameful about that. maybe it was real, maybe you we're figuring things out - that's for you to know only.

before you start babygirling oppenheimer just know that from what i’ve heard the film does not address downwinders, does not have a singular japanese person in it, and exploited our museums by claiming photos on loan for personal use (meaning they did not have to pay a penny to use them in the film despite being a multi-million dollar production).
I’m going to say it, even though it probably has been said. The bomb was tested in New Mexico. Nary a New Mexican has been consulted or the years long environmental consequences that weren’t that much lesser than Japan acknowledged, and people that suffered from the deathly rippling of the bombings are still alive.
